When you first start out as a creator you have grand plans. I'm going to start a blog, I'm going to start a YouTube Channel. And then you get a few weeks or months in slaving away at this amazing content... and nothing. No one is reading, no one is watching.

You are creating into the void.

I'm convinced this is why I gave up on so many creative projects over the last 10 years. Because I spent so much time working from the top level down. Creating content at the top and then using social media channels to 'distribute' that content.

This time around I flipped that conventional content creator mindset on its head and started from the bottom instead.
